Solubility
Overview
Adds Solubility measurement capability to GLpKa or PCA200.
- Wide measurement range
- Equilibrium and kinetic results
- pH dependent solubility profile from just one experiment
- Measures degree of supersaturation
- Sample does not require chromophore
- Result confirmed several times within same experiment
- Most samples measured without cosolvent
- No filtration or separation required
The Solubility upgrade for GLpKa and PCA200 adds the ability to measure equilibrium solubility by pH-metric titration, using two powerful methods - our patented CheqSol method for dynamic and fast determinations with potentiometric cycling and a Bjerrum method which uses a whole curve fitting approach. In combination these methods can measure solubility for all ionizable compounds.
The CheqSol method has been shown to provide real-time creation of new polymorphs, and can also be applied to such areas as excipient solubility measurement, supersaturation ratio measurement, solubilities at different temperatures and solubiltiy in cosolvent, as well as providing real-time information on dissolution and precipitation rates.
Many of our recent publications have focused on the areas of solubility and polymorphism.
